Airbrushing . . .In the 70's airbrushing became very popular it was focused mainly on the customized cars of the era. When you visited a custom car show almost every vehicle in the place had some form of airbrush detail from huge scenes or murals as they were known to tiny detail like a name. All the cars had a name such as "White Heat" or "Venom". These cars tended to be properly customized and quite unique. Most of the time they were prepared, built and repaired by their loving owners who would have slept with them had they the means to get them in the bedroom. However most had one thing in common, they all went somewhere to be painted and airbrushed. Nowadays its a slightly different story, as the fashion changed the custom cars vanished as fast as they appeared. Without the need for airbrush work so did the artists and sadly the era was over. Although we ourselves found other avenues to venture, we also remembered the road we set out on, and over the years have found that there is a market for this type of artwork. As you can see on this page there are some examples of what can be done. From a bike to a 32ft motorhome anything and every effect can be catered for. |
